Hardware Engineering Intern — Robotics

We’re building robots. We want someone who builds things too.

This is a cross-disciplinary internship on our robotics hardware team. You’ll be prototyping, designing, testing, and hacking across mechanical systems, electronics, and software. No two weeks look the same.

What You’ll Do

  • Prototype and iterate on robotic hardware — mechanisms, assemblies, and subsystems.
  • Contribute across disciplines: mechanical, electrical, and software.
  • Test, break, and improve — building things that actually work in the real world.
  • Collaborate directly with the hardware and software teams.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 2–3 years into a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A maker at heart — we want to hear about what you’ve built, broken, and rebuilt.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D modeling and printing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with electronics and microcontrollers such as Arduino or ESP32.
  • A genuine desire to learn, fail, and grow.
  • Bonus: experience with robotics, RC vehicles, drones, or other systems that move.
